man i’ve been doodling sabitsuki all over everything the last couple days, i can’t wait for the weekend so i can have the time to make actual fanart
also after much deliberation i decided that yes, she and madotsuki should kiss. my foreverotp is sabi/oreko though.
The chemical sting of wet-varnished rust still rings in her head. It clots Madotsuki’s nose with every careless touch and makes her dizzier than the revulsion pooling in her belly from the pale, dripping fingers laced behind her neck, rubbing away like an elated blob of throbbing color smearing against a rail.
She has no idea how to touch, thinks the girl who never leaves the dust hollow of her room; whose lank braids are being fumbled and clumsily burrowed in a vain effort to tug them loose. Sabitsuki’s breath wafts in sheets of crusted blood, and her tongue tastes of brick-red dust that can’t be scrubbed from a shower drain. Her dry lips scour and chafe. It’s only fair. Madotsuki’s mouth is an open wound, gushing bile and phlegmatic until she can’t help but saturate her other in lukewarm apathy.

I just went and did this and it was REALLY GREAT…
“Watching Juri reject Beelzebumon when she was captured by the D-Reaper made me hurt so bad for him. It kinda made me mad that she could see how hard he was trying to save her and make up for killing Leomon, but all she wanted to do sit in her little bubble and wallow in her depression.”
Confessions and I don’t get along and I don’t reblog them or much like them (broken record) but I couldn’t ignore this one.
In contrast? I get mad when I see people judge Juri, a girl who is, depending on if you’re watching dub or sub, ten or thirteen years old and who is going through major depression that has quietly lasted for years. Leomon’s death was just the trigger to send her over the edge, and seeing the person who caused Leomon’s death, when she doesn’t know how much he’s changed, how much he regrets what he did, only has that image of him killing her partner in her mind— can you see why that would make it justified for her to be afraid? Even though Beelzebumon had just reasons too. There is no wrong side here.
When you’re depressed, what you want to do doesn’t matter. What you want to do isn’t always what you do. It’s like something is weighing you down and destroying any drive or desire you have. The fact that Juri was able to break out of her depression after this — at least enough to move and to feel and to realize that she can do more — is astounding.
So really, depression is more than just a choice. It’s something that takes over your life entirely. When people judge Juri for being depressed, you misunderstand what depression is on an extremely base level.
this is exactly what i wanted to say only much better phrased and in much less angry words! i just… eugh i got kind of GENUINELY PISSED at this person blaming juri for NOT IMMEDIATELY TRUSTING THE RAGING DOUCHEBAG WHO COLD-HEARTEDLY MURDERED HER DIGIMON and “WANTING” TO “WALLOW IN HER DEPRESSION” omg, have we, have we seen the same show, i just can’t… juri has been trying for SO MANY YEARS to push her depression deep deep down where nobody can see it and put on a happy face, and even at the end, after she snapped because she just couldn’t take it anymore, she stood back up on her own two feet and decided to push forth, to change her destiny, no matter how hard it may be. juri is such a fantastic character and i adore her so much, and she is a flawless example of how you can have an inspiring, strong female character without having her be a powerful fighter or acting in a manner people associate as ‘boy-like’ (like ruki, though i adore her a whole lot too).
tldr version juri is awesome, haters to the far, far, far left until they drop off the end of that cliff
i’m only missing Our War Game to be completely done with both 01 and Tamers
what will i do now???? how am i supposed to go on living without digimon?? maybe i should just watch those two seasons in an eternal loop but then again no i’ll go insane
i’m almost considering watching the recent season but then i look it up and it’s like
